Carol Ann Hofmann

Carol Hofmann, 79, previously of Belvidere, IL, went home to her heavenly Father on Saturday August 22, 2026, after a short, but courageous battle with liver cancer. Carol was born on April 9th, 1947 to Russell and Dorothy (Axelson) Haggstrom. Carol was a jack of all trades at the medical office, where she worked for many years as a medical secretary. She also worked as a secretary for Continental Field Machine, where she met the love of her life. She married Klaus Hofmann on February 2nd, 1985 and they were happily married for 28 years, until his death in 2013. They are together at last watching over their 2 sons, Brian Hofmann of Boynton Beach, FL, and Eric (Lindsey) Hofmann of Dodge Center, MN; 6 grandchildren-Allison, Caylee, Brynn Hofmann-all of Montgomery, IL, Harrison, Axel, Ava Hofmann-all of Dodge Center, MN; 3 nieces Debbie Fields of Longwood, FL, Diana Rogers of Eagan, MN, Kristin Harbest of Asheville, NC; 1 nephew Bradley Burch of Orlando, FL; many other relatives and friends. Proceeding her in death were her parents Russel and Dorothy Haggstrom, husband Klaus Hofmann, sister Nancy Burch, and her beloved dog Molly.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 29th, 2026 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL from 1pm-3pm.
