Dwight Ferguson

Dwight Pierce Ferguson, age 54, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by his family at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. A service to celebrate Dwight's life will be on January 25, 2026, at 1:30 in the afternoon at Ellendale United Methodist Church, located at 200 6th St N, Ellendale. Burial will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California at a later date.

Dwight was born on January 9, 1971, in California to Thomas and Sybil (Reutter) Ferguson and lived there until he moved to Minnesota in 2000.

Dwight worked as an assistant manager for Toys R Us, Boston Market, Days Inn, Staples, Golden Corral, Krispy Kreme before going on to working at Mayo Clinic - Rochester and finishing his career at Beauterre Recovery Institute of Owatonna.

Dwight went on a mission trip to the Philippines when he was a young adult sharing god's word. Later, he continued by helping teach youth group and confirmation at his local church in Rochester. He enjoyed traveling down to Illinois to see his Great Aunt Grace for July 4th events.

Dwight enjoyed going out to eat with friends and taking his daughter to daytime dads, preschool and supporting her in any event that she wanted to encounter. He was the president of the parent teacher association for Madisyn's elementary school.

Dwight is survived by his daughter, Madisyn Ferguson; sister, Tina Venegas; brother in law, (Johnny Sr.); bother, Valentino Martinez; brother, Randy Martinez; brother, Mark Stewart, brother, Russ Stewart and brother, Edward Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ferguson, Sybil Ferguson, and sister Kathy Burchard.
