Jerry Alfred Jensen

Jerry Alfred Jensen,89, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2016, at Madonna Towers in Rochester.

Jerry was born on November 21, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Leonard and Catherine (Hall) Jensen.

Jerry was united in marriage to Ione (Peterson) on May 17, 1958, and they were married for 67 years. The couple made their home in Rochester until they built a house on Viola Lake, near Siren, Wisconsin. In March of 2026 they moved back to Rochester to be near their children and grandchildren.

Jerry worked as an Iron Work professional and was a proud member of the Twin Cities Ironworkers Union.

Jerry is survived by his 3 children, Brenda Radel (Kittleson) of Oronoco, Jay Jensen of Rochester and Danny Jensen of Orr, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Kittleson, Tara Kittleson, Erin Huey (Jensen) and Andrea "Anna" Jensen; 3 great grandchildren, Logan Spratte, Colton Spratte and Elara AL-Kaissy; sister Virginia Mattson (Jensen) of Rochester; and fur babies Foxy & Bandit.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Leonard & Catherine Jensen, Daughter in-law Michelle Wood Jensen and his wife of 67 years, Ione.

The family is not planning a memorial service at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Season's Hospice, of Rochester, Minnesota in memory of Jerry Jensen.
