Katherine Marie Ross

Kathryn Marie Ross, 72, of Rochester, MN, died on April 26, 2026 at her home in Rochester. 

Kay was born October 26, 1953, in Belmond, lowa to Mr. Raymond and Ethel (Jenkins) Ross. She graduated from Byron High School in 1971. She achieved her B.A. in Marketing from Winona State University in 1978. During her career she achieved many sales awards. However, in 1992 she became disabled due to a back and neck injury. Kay loved interacting with her nieces and nephews and spending time with them. Family was very important to her.

Kay is survived by her significant other, Kent O. McDaniel of Rochester, MN. Kent has been a Graphic Illustrator for the Mayo Clinic since 2002. Kay is also survived by her siblings, Dennis O. Ross of Wabasha, MN, Barbara (James) K. Kurth of Stewartville, MN, and Lynette G. (James) Miller of Pine Island, Minnesota.
She is proceeded in death by her brother, Lanny Ray Ross of Sargeant, MN. She lived in Rochester, MN until the time of her death.

A private graveside service will be held at Pine Island Cemetery.
