Lorelle Hendrix

Lorelle Faye Hendrix, age 58, of Eyota MN, passed away on July 12, 2025. Lori was born on September 6, 1966, to her loving parents, Omer Hendrix and Linda Risser. Raised on her grandparent's farm in dexter, she was a country girl through and through. As a young girl, Lori fell in love with farm animals and raised horses and other livestock throughout her whole life. Growing up she could always be found in the pasture with her horses or in the garden, working until the sun went down. She loved horses so much, she attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for horse equine. Working jobs in construction and other labor intense occupations Lori grew fond of big heavy equipment and loved working in the dirt in any areas she could. Being in nature camping, fishing and hiking kept her young at heart. Lori fought a hard battle with breast cancer and taught us all to NEVER give up. Lori is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Hendrix, son, Matthew (Kayla) Hendrix, grandchildren, Serenity, Octavia, Theodore, and Eden; sisters, Crystal (Brian) Welsh, Kristin (Steve) Broome, Lisa Kay, Stephanie Gjerdahl, Debbie Scott, Jackie Jeter; brothers, Je (Brenda) Hendrix, Tom Jeter, and Mike Jeter. Along with so many loving family members and friends, her dog Alex and cat Joe Joe loved her dearly. Lori touched the hearts of anyone who knew her and would go to the ends of the earth for her loved ones. Our family is grateful to know that Lori, Mama, Gam Gam or Sissy is finally at peace. She passed at the Methodist Hospital surrounded by family. Our deepest gratitude and thanks to her amazing friends, Jimmy, Kathy, Donny and Cindy who always made time to help her at home, with the animals and be her support system through the cancer battle. Thanks to all the friends and family not mentioned as the list is very long. Special thanks the Dr. Peethambaram of Mayo Oncology who helped Lori navigate her cancer battle.
