Lorraine "Dolly" Knutson

Lorraine Ann "Dolly" was born on September 10th, 1923, to Hannah Ann and James LaRue Dupuis in St. Paul, Minnesota. The family moved to Cross Lake, MN, when Dolly was a young girl. She graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 1942.

Dolly married Harley Knutson on March 16, 1944, at her home in Cross Lake, MN. To this union, two children were born, Jane Ann Chilson and James Harley Knutson. The family made their home in Pequot Lakes until 1963. After which Harley and Dolly lived in White Bear Lake, Lino Lakes, and Forest Lake before their final move to Rochester, MN in 1999.

Dolly graciously answered the call to go to her eternal home on September 10th, 2025 (on her 102nd birthday) at her daughter's, Jane Ann's, home.

Dolly is survived by her two children, Jane Ann of Rochester, MN, and Jim of Kabetogama, MN; three grandchildren, Rachel Smith (Dennis) of Ham Lake, MN, Christopher Chilson (Sandy) of Lime Spring, IA, Jimmy Knutson (Carley) of Edina, MN; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Smith and Anna Smith both of Ham Lake, MN; along with many nieces and nephews. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley; and one sister, Betty Jane Larsen. God bless her memory.   

The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at Maxon Family Cremations & Life Celebrations, with Dr. Rev. Michael Liga officiating.
