Patricia Youngkrantz

Patricia Clarice Youngkrantz passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at Season's Hospice in Rochester, MN. Patricia was born in Bovey, MN on May 1, 1942, to Edward and Rose (Preslicka) Sladek.  In early childhood the family moved to Olivia, MN where she attended Catholic school. The family moved to Hector, MN where Patricia graduated from high school in 1960.  On April 22, 1961, she was united in marriage to Galen Carl Youngkrantz at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lake Lillian, MN. They were blessed with two daughters and one son.

Patricia was a happy stay at home mother who took great pride in making mealtime a special family time. She loved to bake for family and friends and always would say "If it's cold, it's old!" As the kids were growing up Patricia always welcomed all their friends into their home and had baked treats for all to enjoy. No one ever left hungry.  As a family, they enjoyed doing many things together. Some of the best memories were made while camping! Patricia always enjoyed visiting and baking for those that stayed at AutumnWoods RV Park and Crystal Springs RV Resort. She had many hobbies, however she really enjoyed making gifts for others on her embroidery machine.  Patricia had a loving and giving heart. She cherished her whole family and family always came first.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Rose; brothers, Donald (Arlene), Gerald (Sharon), sister, Janet Hoff (Don) and grandson Adam.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Galen; children, Kari Nicklaus, Kurt (Jane) Youngkrantz and Cindy (Mark) Dickson; grandchildren, Jackson, Paige (Devan), Brittany (Brian), Morgan and Mark Jr.; great-grandchildren, Rayne and Piper; siblings, Rose Marie (Chuck) Allison, Robert (Judy) Sladek, Jack (Diane) Sladek, Barb (Pete) Lindahl, Jim (Karen) Sladek, Nancy (Bruce) Luthens; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5455 50th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
