Paul Maass

Paul E. Maass, 89, of Rochester, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2025.
He was born on March 18, 1936 to Henry & Ester (Boie) Maass.

Paul attended Rochester schools and graduated from high school in 1955. After graduating he joined the Air Force and was stationed in England and the United States for 5 years. After the service he took a job at Rochester Public Utilities and retired after 33 years. Paul married Carol McCaleb in 1993. When Paul retired, he drove for Mayo Clinic Shuttle and school bus.

He loved to travel with Carol and they made numerous trips overseas.

Paul is survived by his wife, Carol; 3 children from a previous marriage, Renee (Authur) Johnson, Steven (Jennifer) Maass, Mark Maass; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa and son, Matthew.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Maxon Family Cremation & Life Celebrations with one hour of visitation prior. Burial will follow the service at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
