Rose Jane Sievers

Rose Sievers (102), died on September 21, 2026, at Edenbrook Pine Haven, Pine Island MN. She was born on July 8, 1924 to Alfred Julius and Mary (Campbell) Dornack of Salem Corners. She married Leon Bluhm in 1943, they later divorced. She then married Joseph Sievers in 1956.

She graduated from Rochester High School in 1942. Rose was a homemaker and farm wife until her divorce. She then moved to Rochester and worked as a waitress at The Kahler Coffee House and Elizabethan Room, the "original" Wongs restaurant and Hoffman House. For many years she cared for families of young children and the elderly. A few years after retiring, she received a certification to do in-home care services for seniors who needed assistance with daily activities or just needed a friend to talk to and spend time with. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and was an avid traveler driving her RV camper throughout the states.

Rose is survived by two children. Daughter Karen Fredin and son Jerry (Lisa) Bluhm. She had 5 grandchildren: Thane (Geri) Fredin, Jeremy (Amy) Bluhm, Jenna (Breanna) Bluhm, Trevor (Lauren) Bluhm and Marissa (Trevor) Bluhm. She had 3 great grandchildren: Jeffrey (Brittany) Fredin, Joseph-Thane (Sarah) Fredin and Jared (Michelle) Fredin. And, 1 great-great granddaughter Wilhemina Rose Fredin. She preceded in death by her parents, first husband Leon, husband Joseph Sievers, daughter Roxanne Sievers and sisters Connie, Virginia, Madlyn, Gwen, half-brother Paul Lopez and an infant brother.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday October 8, 2026 at Maxon Family Cremation, 1624 37th St NW, Rochester MN 55901. A private burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens. The family sincerely appreciates the support and care given by Mayo Hospice and Edenbrook Pine Haven.
