Scot Wade Johnson, 49, of Rochester, passed away on October 9, 2025.
He was born on July 20, 1976, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Ervin and Beverly (Paine) Johnson.
Scot graduated from John Marshall High School in 1995. He began his career at ShopKo, where he worked for 19 years until 2013. He later joined the Hampton Inn, contributing to maintenance and housekeeping, and from 2016 to 2024, he was proud to serve as part of the Environmental Services team at Mayo Clinic.
Scot's life was filled with simple joys and a big heart. He loved grilling up delicious meals, driving nice cars and trucks, and spending time outdoors camping and fishing. As a child, he enjoyed building Legos and Lincoln Logs and shared countless happy moments with his beloved family dogs. Scot was known for his sharp sense of humor and his uncanny ability to pick out the perfect birthday card - the kind that made you laugh out loud, often imagining him laughing right along with you.
Scot is survived by his loving mother, Beverly Johnson; sisters, Kara (Kent) Johnson and Marie (Seth) Sams; and niece and nephew, Annika and August Sams.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ervin Johnson; and brother, Curt Johnson.
