Sharon Lenore Stetzler

Sharon Stetzler, 85, of Rochester passed away on May 26, 2026, at Cottagewood Senior Living Community.  

Sharon Lenore Swenson was born February 3, 1941, in Litchfield, MN to Waldemar and Valborg (Fosso) Swenson. 

She graduated high school in Hutchinson, MN. Later she attended the University of Minnesota where she studied Psychology. At the U of M, she met then married William Harold Stetzler Jr. Together they raised two children and lived in St. Paul. Later Sharon and the kids moved to Rochester in 1978 and remained until her death. 

She loved music and was an excellent pianist and harpist. She also taught piano lessons from her home. 

Sharon is survived by her eldest son, Scott Stetlzer; daughter, Dynee Stetzler; brother, Chip (Sherry) Swenson; brother, George Swenson; sister-in-law, Karen Swenson; and several beloved nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerome and Gary Swenson. 

The memorial service will be 2:00pm on Saturday July 11, 2026, at Calvary Episcopal Church in Rochester. (111 3rd Ave SW)
