Thomas Clay Simmons, 64, of North Mankato, MN passed away on January 20, 2026 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He was being treated for a sudden and aggressive leukemia that took his last three months on Earth. Family was with him on his last day. He would have turned 65 this coming August and he was really looking forward to being eligible for a free fishing license. He loved fishing and ice fishing, tubing down the Apple River with friends, hunting morel mushrooms, and walking farm fields in spring to find arrowheads. He worked at Brown Printing in the 90s and Corporate Graphics was the last job before he retired at 62. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F and Kathryn T Simmons. He is survived by his siblings, Robin Simmons, Wendy Simmons Earle and Charles Simmons. Nephew, Nathan Earle and nieces, Alysia Earle and Jordyn Morris, as well as Alysia's children, Jordan, Madison and Isabelle, who were a part of his daily life. Also survived by his Stepchildren from his decade+ marriage to Tracy Lynne Larson. Stepchildren: Ashley Cummins, Jeremy Cummins and Richard Cummins, as well as Step Grandchildren (Ashley's Kids) Gage, Colton and Aidden.

He requested to be interred with his dog, Belle. A small private remembrance gathering will be held in the Spring.
